| Q:
Do I receive free tax table updates when I upgrade to any version
of QuickBooks 2003? A: Customers who purchase any version of QuickBooks 2003
are entitled to one free download of the tax table. To try Do-It-Yourself
Payroll before you subscribe, sign up for Do-It-Yourself Payroll
for QuickBooks 2003. Choose the online option for Do-It-Yourself
Payroll, but do not enter your credit card number. You will receive
one free payroll update. Internet access is required to receive
the free payroll update. Do-It-Yourself Payroll subscribers who
choose to receive payroll updates by mail cannot get the first update
free. If you are a Tax Table Service subscriber, you may apply the
remainder of your subscription period toward Do-It-Yourself Payroll
when you sign up. Important: If you want your business to remain compliant
with state and federal payroll tax laws and regulations on an ongoing
basis, Intuit recommends that you subscribe to the QuickBooks Do-It-Yourself
Payroll service, which will keep you updated with current tax tables
and forms. New and upgrading QuickBooks purchasers who want to try out the
service can receive a one-time download of the most current payroll
tax tables and forms. These tax tables and forms are current at
the time they are downloaded. Be warned, however, that state and
federal tax laws and regulations change frequently, and users of
the one-time download will not receive updates without a paid Do-It-Yourself
Payroll subscription. Note: The one-time tax table download expires and ceases
to function in QuickBooks on February 15 of the year after you download
it. This safeguard helps to ensure that at the beginning of each
year, QuickBooks payroll customers are not using outdated tax tables
and forms. Please note, however, that, because of changing state
and federal tax laws and regulations, your tax table and forms might
become outdated before the February 15 expiration date. The only
way to ensure you have current tax tables and forms and therefore
remain compliant is to subscribe to Do-It-Yourself Payroll.
