| QuickBooks 2006 Rebate Information |

Customers who currently have QuickBooks Basic (which is no longer being offered) will receive a mail-in rebate to assist them in upgrading to QuickBooks Pro or QuickBooks Premier. The QuickBooks 2006 Rebate is for previous users of the QuickBooks Basic edition only, other QuickBooks products do not qualify. Since the majority of our valued customers are not eligible to participate in this rebate, we have lowered the overall list price for our QuickBooks products to better serve our customers. For example, the price for QuickBooks Pro is $199, which is $100 less than last year's price for the same version. By lowering the price and eliminating the previous cumbersome rebate process, we hope to make good on our promise to always deliver a great value for every one of our customers. If you choose to purchase QuickBooks at a retail store, you can often get an even lower price (we don't and can't control pricing in the retail channels). We are sending instant savings coupons to you for the purchase of QuickBooks 2006 products at various retail stores. What do I need to submit for the QuickBooks 2006 Rebate offer exclusively for Basic users?
Please include the following four items to ensure quick delivery of your rebate check:
- The rebate form.
- Proof of Purchase Tab #3 (located on page two in your Quick Startup and Reference Guide).
- Receipt of purchase (photocopies accepted).
- Proof of prior ownership (either a photocopy of your previous version of your QuickBooks Basic CD or a printout of the "About QuickBooks" window showing the previous version of QuickBooks Basic).

What is the original Proof of Purchase Tab #3"?
The Proof of Purchase Tab #3 located on page two of the Quick Startup and Reference Guide . The Proof of Purchase tab will be labeled as a "Proof Of Purchase" followed by the name of the product you purchased. Please DO NOT send in the UPC as proof of purchase. If you are unsure, call the customer service number on your rebate form.

How can I get my rebate if I lost my receipt?
If you paid with a credit card and know the exact date of your purchase, most stores will be glad to print a new receipt for you.

How do I obtain a copy of the packing slip for a rebate?
Please visit our Intuit Contact Center to request a copy of your packing slip. If possible, please include your Order Number so that we may promptly process your request. If you are not sure of your Order Number, please call (800) 446-8848.

What is "Proof of prior ownership"?
Either of the following items will be accepted as proof of prior ownership:
- A photocopy of a previous QuickBooks Basic CD (photocopying will not damage your CD).
- A print screen shot of the About QuickBooks window showing your previous installed version of QuickBooks Basic.

I have a preinstalled version of software, how can I get a print screen shot from within the program?
Please follow these steps to print a screen display: - Start the preinstalled version of QuickBooks.
- Press Alt+PrtSc on your keyboard.
- Open up a program, such as Microsoft Word or Microsoft Paint.
- From the Edit menu, choose Paste.
- From the File menu, choose Print.

I bought more than one of the same product that offers a rebate. Can I submit for more than one rebate?
Many rebates have a limit on the number of claims that can be submitted on a single promotion. To find out the specific rules for the promotion you are submitting, please review the terms and conditions on your rebate form or refer to the Web site.

The product that I purchased has two rebates. Intuit offers one and the store where I bought the product offers the other. Can I submit copies of the receipt and required information?

I forgot to send in for my rebate and now it has expired. Can I still receive my rebate?
Promotions such as rebates are carefully planned for very specific time frames. If the postmark date has passed for your rebate, unfortunately you will not qualify. We are unable to accept late rebate submissions. Can I still receive a rebate if I purchased the product online?
Yes, for some qualifying products purchased from an e-tailer such as Amazon.com, you can receive a rebate. The packing slip (which is sent with the QuickBooks product) will be your purchase receipt.
